Allen Forbes

Biography

 Mr. Forbes is founder of Forbes Engineering. Mr. Forbes was born and raised in Nevada. Since obtaining his Master’s Degree in l982, he has been employed as a Structural Engineer in Reno, Nevada, and the last eight years as a principal of Forbes Engineering. He has engineered numerous large-scale buildings and has experience in all construction materials. His experience in steel structures includes the new UNR Center for Molecular Medicine, the Joe Crowley Student Union for the University of Nevada, Reno, the Dini-Townsend State Psychiatric Hospital in Reno, Nevada, the Federal Courthouse in Reno, Nevada, the Legislative Building Expansion in Carson City, Nevada, and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Computer Center. Other public works projects include the Galena Fish Hatchery Seismic Upgrade and Camp We-Che-Me remodel, the Sun Valley and Cold Springs Fire Stations, the Department of Information Technology Renovation and Addition to the Computer Center, the Department of Agriculture Headquarters and Lab for the State of Nevada, as well as numerous projects for the NV Air National Guard. He has also designed school projects for Douglas, Lyon, and Washoe County school districts. Large commercial projects include the CDW and Pfizer warehouses, three concrete high rises for Polo Towers in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Belvedere Towers remodel in Reno, Nevada. His experience in timber framed structures includes the Reno Vista Center; a three-story medical office building in Gardnerville, Nevada, and the Community Center, Golf Clubhouse and other buildings for the Arrow Creek development..
