Biography

Mr. Jonathan A. Flint, J.D., known as Jon, is the Founding Partner at Polaris Partners. He co-founded Polaris in 1996 and was its Co-Founder and General Partner and is responsible for oversight of all investment activities. Mr. Flint focuses on investments at all stages in information technology, consumer products, and digital media. He also serves as the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Living Proof, Inc. He also served as the Chief executive Officer at Living Proof from November 2010 to December 2011. Prior to this, Mr. Flint was a Partner at Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., which he joined in 1984 and specialized in information technology. Before joining BEDCO, Mr. Flint was an Litigation Associate at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault and represented venture capital firms and high technology companies. Prior to this, he gained due diligence and investigative experience during his service on the Impeachment Inquiry Staff of the U.S. Judiciary Committee and on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force from 1974 to 1976. Mr. Flint is on the Boards of Andora, Living Proof, Inc., JibJab Media, Inc., Modelinia, Inc., 170 Systems, Inc., Experience, Inc., eSupportNow, Meridio, and Exos Partners, LLC. He served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Allurent, Inc. since March 27, 2006. Mr. Flint was a Director of Narad Networks, Avici Systems, American Superconductor, Mariner Health Care, Centive, Solidworks, Watermark, Powersoft, Centra Software Inc., MarketXT, Inc., Exchange.com, Ucentric Systems, and Allaire Corporation. He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School and a B.A., with high honors, from Hobart College.
