Biography

Dr. Sherri Cole has an extensive background in health care and higher education administration. She completed her undergraduate studies in business management at Malone University, Canton, Ohio. She earned graduate degrees from Baker College of Graduate Studies (MBA) and Walden University (PhD). Her doctoral degree is in applied management and decision sciences with a focus in leadership and organizational change. She holds a certificate in performance assessment in higher education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and a certificate in instructional design from Worldwide Instructional Design Systems (WIDS), a curriculum development and software development and consulting agency. The early part of Dr. Cole’s career was spent in radiology and she was the unit director or radiology at Aultman Hospital in Ohio. Her expertise in collaborative teamwork, strategic visioning and continuous quality improvement processes earned her the position as the founding Dean of Allied Health and Professional Development at Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. While there she developed an allied health division within the college and the first associate of science degree in radiography. Dr. Cole is a consultant to the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents in program review, KePRO (allied health specialties within healthcare settings), a board examiner for the Excellence in Missouri Foundation (Baldrige), and lead coordinator for the Quality Matters affiliation with Logan. She received many awards in business and education including Outstanding Contributions to the Business Community (Sterling Registry, 2012), Top Female Executives – Outstanding Professional Excellence and Dedication, Professional of the Year (Education Administration) and VIP Award for Excellence in Healthcare Occupations. She was awarded over 11 service medals by the U.S. Army for her service in Desert Shield/Storm/Farewell and received two Commendation medals. Dr. Cole brings her business acumen and leadership in higher education administration to Logan University as the Dean of the College of Health Sciences.
