Biography
Dr. Penn founded the Psychological Services Center of the Long Island University Brooklyn Campus, which provides clinical training for PhD students in clinical psychology and offers free personal counseling to LIU students, in 1978 and she directed it until August, 2012. In addition to Dr. Penn teaching PhD level courses in the psychology department, from 1978-2012 she set and directed all administrative and clinical policies for the Center. Since September 2012, Dr. Penn has continued to teach full time in the clinical psychology doctoral program, supervise PhD students on their clinical work, be a member of dissertation committees, and has been an active member of the department on numerous committees including the personnel committee, admissions committee, student evaluation committee, and many additional ad hoc committees.
