Biography
Mohammed Ghriga earned his Ph.D. in computer science in 1995 and his master of science in computer science from Polytechnic University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of Sciences and Technology at Algiers in 1986. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He aspires to take on an executive academic position within the next five years. Dr. Ghriga was named Cambridge Publishing’s “Professional of the Year in Computer Science Education” for 2009, a title that is reserved for select individuals demonstrating professional excellence and integrity in their chosen fields of practice.Dr. Ghriga brings 21 years of professional experience to Long Island University. Recognized as an expert in management information systems, service management and computer science research. He was appointed dean by the university in the summer of 2008. Prior to assuming his current position, Dr. Ghriga served as associate dean of the business school of LIU, which he first joined as an associate professor in 1994.
