Dr. Anthony Greer

Biography

 Dr. Anthony Greer is a Board Certified glaucoma specialist and general ophthalmologist. He has extensive experience with small incision-no stitch cataract surgery, multifocal and toric intraocular lens surgery, laser corrective surgery, trabeculectomy surgery, glaucoma drainage device surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, laser glaucoma procedures, and eyelid surgery. He manages glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and diabetes as it relates to the eye with the latest technology and techniques. Dr. Greer also performs routine exams with adults and children for eye health, glasses, and contacts.   Dr. Greer is a native of Hickory, North Carolina. He received his B.S Degree from Clemson University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. After completing his internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA, He completed his Ophthalmology residency at The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He then completed a Glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute which is consistently ranked as the number one training program in the country. He has published scientific papers in various ophthalmic journals and has presented his research at national meetings. Dr. Greer and his wife, Kristi, a registered nurse, have three children Evelyn, Elijah and Alexander. His interest include: spending time with family, enjoying outdoor activities, and cheering for Clemson athletics. He and his family enjoy living in this wonderful community.
