Dr. Feigenbaum

Biography

Dr. Rachael Feigenbaum grew up on Cape Cod and developed a love of animals and the natural world from a very young age. She went to Wellesley College, where she majored in psychobiology and spent summers working in marine biology labs and veterinary clinics. Dr. Feigenbaum graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. While in veterinary school, she developed a special interest in holistic medicine and started a student chapter of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. After graduation, Dr. Feigenbaum moved to San Francisco. She completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2003, and has since been integrating Eastern and Western modalities into her practice. Dr. Feigenbaum is committed to giving back to the community through volunteering with Pets Are Wonderful Support, where she has served on the Board of Directors, and with Veterinary Street Outreach Services, which provides free vet care to pets of the homeless population of San Francisco. In addition to holistic veterinary medicine, her professional interests include treating rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, and other exotic mammals.
