Biography
Dr. Jian Zhang is an associate professor in the computer science division, school of EECS at Louisiana State University. He received my PhD in computer science from Yale University. Before joining LSU, He worked for two years in the computer science lab at SRI International. His research interest is in the area of machine learning and it applications. One focus of his research in machine learning is on designing and exploring different feature extraction and information encoding/representation methods for knowledge discovery and transfer. My research also involves applications of machine learning methods in areas such as cyber security, analysis of material simulation data and biomedical data.
