Biography
His research interests are concentrated on the history of the African American and Mexican American communities in the twentieth century United States, with an emphasis on civil rights activism and comparative race relations. Additionally, he study racial violence, law enforcement, popular culture, and nationalism as they related to black and Latino/a people. He have published two monographs and three edited volumes.
