Biography
His life-long interest in the natural world has ultimately led me to a career in the biological sciences. He view his research program as a balance between field and lab work. Since arriving at Iowa State University, He has initiated a change in research focus from phylogenetic systematics and biogeography toward a program with more emphasis on population and conservation genetics. In addition to applied research related to the conservation of rare species, he is also interested in processes that create and maintain diversity in populations.
Research Interest
Systematics, Population Genetics, Evolutionary Biology.
