Biography
His work broadly in the field of plant population and community ecology, employing approaches ranging from field studies and experimentation to computer simulation, with a strong focus on spatial interactions. His most recent work has been in the field of invasion ecology examining the impact of invasive annuals on fire risk in desert shrublands. He also recently developed a network based simulation model examining the impact of mammal removal strategies on bird recovery in collaboration with colleagues in New Zealand.
