Biography
BCR-ABL1 negative myeloproliferative neoplasms include Polycythemia Vera, Essential Thrombocythemia and Primary Myelofibrosis. Type-1 homodimeric receptors (such as TpoR or c-Mpl) play a central role in the ontogenesis of those diseases. I am working on a structural project that aims to elucidate the structure of the transmembrane and cytosolic domains of TpoR, and where we identified novel oncogenic mutants of TpoR. Furthermore, I am responsible for cytology at St. Luc Hospital, and I study signaling in primary samples from patients with myeloid cancers.
