Shawn Cain

Biography

Mr. Cain has over twenty years of experience in combining process engineering and project management to direct the development and manufacture of aseptically processed pharmaceuticals, cell based biologics, and medical devices. Most recently he was the Director of Facilities and Engineering at Organogenesis, Inc., the world leader in regenerative medicine. Mr. Cain was also the Director of Operations for a pharmaceutical contract manufacturer, Formatech, Inc. Prior to that he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Arbios Systems, Inc. Arbios developed proprietary medical devices and cell-based therapies to enhance the survival of patients suffering from life-threatening episodes of liver failure. Mr. Cain holds several patents, received his M.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Massachusetts and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Northeastern University.
