Biography
Mr. Thomas A. Patterson, also known as Tom, serves as a General Partner of Madrone Capital Partners. Mr. Patterson co-founded Madrone Capital Partners in 2005. Mr. Patterson worked for 8 years at Weston Presidio and 4 years at McKinsey and Company where he focused on strategy and operations in the manufacturing, financial services and health care industries. Mr. Patterson was a Partner at the private equity firm of Weston Presidio. He was General Partner of Weston Presidio Capital IV, L.P. and Weston Presidio V, L.P. He was General Partner of Weston Presidio. He serves as Director of View Inc. and Oportun Financial Corporation. He has been a Director of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. since January 2011. He serves on the boards of JetBlue Airways and Insulair and is involved with its investments in Airspan Networks, Digital Theater Systems and PictureWorks Technology. He served as Director of JetBlue Airways Corporation since December 1998. He served as Director of XyberNET, Inc. and Kateeva, Inc. He served as Director of Quidnunc Group Plc. Mr. Patterson served as Director of SquareTrade, Inc. Mr. Patterson serves as a director-at-large for the Montana Land Reliance. He rowed on the Crimson’s varsity lightweight crew team. He holds an MBA in 1993 from Harvard Business School and holds AB in history from Harvard College in 1988.
