Biography
Dr. Leonard R. Borrmann, Pharm.D., has been an Executive Vice President, Research and Development of Advanced Medical Optics Inc. since February 2007 and served as its Senior Vice President, Research and Development from 2005 to September 2006. Dr. Borrmann served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Calando Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Formerly Insert Therapeutics Inc.) since December 2002. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Maret Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Borrmann served as the Chief Executive Officer of ACADIA Pharmaceuticals and also served as the Vice President of worldwide business development at Allergan Inc. In addition to business development, his 14-year career at Allergan included positions in clinical research and marketing. Dr. Borrmann earned a Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Science Degrees at the University of Southern California.
