Biography

    Mr. William Wrigley Jr., also known as Beau, has been Executive Chairman of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company since October 2006 and has been its Director since 1998. Mr. Wrigley serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wrigley Management Inc., a family office and WWJr. Enterprises Inc. He also is Co-Founder and Chairman of higi. He served as a Member of the Executive Advisory Board at Hilco Equity Partners. Mr. Wrigley joined Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in 1985. He served as the Vice President of The Wrigley Co. from 1991 to 1999 and was an Assistant to the President from 1985 to 1992. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company from 1999 to October 2006. He served as the Executive Chairman of The Wrigley Co. Ltd. He has significant experience serving on public company boards. He served as the Chairman of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company from January 1, 2004 to October 2006. Mr. Wrigley serves as a Director of Grocery Manufacturers Association and NorthShore University HealthSystem. He serves as Director of Pulse Health, LLC. Mr. Wrigley serves as a Trustee of Northwestern University. He served as an Independent Director of Hyatt Hotels Corporation since March 27, 2014 until March 3, 2017. He served as Director of Wrapports LLC. He served as a Director of The J. M. Smucker Company since 1992. He serves in a number of professional capacities and is involved in numerous business initiatives as a private investor, as well as through philanthropic programs in Chicago and around the world. He sits on the Board of Trustees for The Ethel Walker School, an independent, college preparatory, boarding and day school for girls in grades six through twelve. He is also a member of the Senior Advisory Council of BDT Capital Partners LLC. He is also a Director of The Economic Club of Chicago and serves on National Geographic Society's Council of Advisors. He also serves on the Board of the not-for-profit North Shore University Healthcare System. Additionally, as a Trustee of Conservation International, he supports their mission to empower societies to responsibly and sustainably care for nature for the well-being of humanity. He is a member of the Chicago Chapter of the Young President' Organization and a former member of The Business Council. He is Co-Chair of their Ocean Health Council. He is an active philanthropist. He is a 1985 graduate of Duke University with a B.A. in Economics and attended the Wharton School of Business Advanced Management Program in 1994. Additionally, he was in the 1997 inaugural class of the Aspen Institute's Henry Crown Fellowship Program.
