Biography
Dr. Muhammad Amjad, Ph.D., SM (ASCP), is an Associate Professor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at Marshall University; he joined the faculty in August 2009. He earned a Master of Science in Microbiology and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He has experience in the clinical laboratory and earned a Specialty Certification in Microbiology through ASCP in 2003 and a Diplomat of American Board of Microbiology through the American Academy of Microbiology in 2009. Prior to coming to Marshall University, Dr. Amjad was an Assistant Professor and an active research in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department and School of Medicine at Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. He currently teaches Medical Laboratory Terminology (CLS 105), Clinical Microbiology (CLS 220), Advanced Clinical Chemistry (CLS 400), Advanced Clinical Microbiology (CLS 420), Clinical Immunology and Molecular Diagnostics (CLS 310), and Senior Research/Capstone (CLS 468).
