John Hammergren

Biography

John H. Hammergren is chairman, president and chief executive officer of McKesson Corporation. He was elected president and CEO in 2001 and chairman in 2002. He also is the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Celesio AG.  Under his leadership, McKesson has become the leading provider of healthcare services and information technology solutions that help organizations across the healthcare industry improve their business performance and deliver better care to patients. A devoted husband and father, he grew up in Minnesota and is an Eagle Scout.
