Biography
Edward Strongin serves as Chief Financial Officer for MCNA. As a Florida licensed Certified Public Accountant with more than 40 years of diversified finance experience, Mr. Strongin is known for his forensic accounting and financial reporting skills, and his expertise in investment management. He served as MCNA's outside accountant for almost 20 years. When the opportunity came to join the MCNA organization seven years ago, the decision and transition to full-time CFO was an easy one. During his tenure, Mr. Strongin guided MCNA through its Texas Department of Insurance licensure related to capital and premium-writing requirements and contributed expert analysis in connection with agency capitation rate setting. Mr. Strongin currently chairs the Miami-Dade County Health Facilities Authority, where he assists in the financing of select South Florida hospital projects with an eye toward cost efficiency. As Chairman, he led the approval of $250 million in facility expansion bonds for a highly acclaimed local hospital. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the University of Miami.
