Biography
Dr. Shiva Gupta joined the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor in 2012. He obtained his medical degree from New York College, Valhalla, New York. He pursued his radiology residency training at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York, and received the 2011 Roentgen Resident/ Fellow Research Award from the Radiological Society of North America for his residency program. After obtaining his board certification from the American Board of Radiology in 2011, he completed his fellowship training in Body MRI at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a member of several societies including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), Society of Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance (SCBT-MR), and American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). He is involved in both resident and fellow clinical training. Although he has completed research in various topics in the past, his current research areas include radiologic tumor measurement techniques, magnetic resonance imaging techniques, and renal cell carcinoma.
