Evan Demestihas

Biography

 Dr. Demestihas is CEO of The Medical Affairs Company, the pharmaceutical and medical device industry’s leading Contract Medical Organization. Dr. Demestihas is a 25 year veteran of the biopharmaceutical industry, having held prior executive positions in medical affairs and business development with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and Solvay Pharmaceuticals. In 1997, he established Science Oriented Solutions (SOS), the pharmaceutical industry’s first Contract Medical Organization (CMO) and headed up that company for 11 years. Dr. Demestihas earned his MD from The State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from Long Island University, Schwartz College of Pharmacy, in Brooklyn, New York. He has served on the Board of Visitors at the Mercer University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences since 2000 and is on the adjunct faculty. He holds membership in numerous professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American College of Physician Executives and the American Pharmaceutical Association.
