Y. Daniel Wang

Biography

 Dr. Wang obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from University of Delaware with Professor Douglass F. Taber and carried out his postdoctoral research at the Johns Hopkins University in Professor Gary Posner’s group. He obtained his BS degree in Medicinal Chemistry from Shanghai First Medical College (now Medical College, Fudan University, Shanghai) in 1983. He conducted his graduate study at the Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Zhou Jin and Huang Liang (an Academician of CAS) during 1986-1989. He was a principal research scientist at Wyeth (now Pfizer) from 1998-2009 and has led multi-disciplines drug discovery teams in the field of oncology and anti-inflammation. Dr. Wang has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and holds over 10 US and world patents or patent applications.
