Kelly Davis

Biography

 Kelly’s lived experience with mental health diagnoses and trauma are at the center of her passion for helping individuals who are struggling to receive a full spectrum of supports and services. She currently works in Peer Advocacy, Supports, and Services, where she is involved in promoting peer support, programs, certification, and college mental health. She is passionate about trauma-informed care, peer support, person-centered care, and civil rights. This drives her outside work in writing about her experiences, teaching yoga and fitness classes, and facilitating peer support groups. She has spoken at many events around college mental health and her lived experience, including The White House, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Collegiate Recovery Summit, and her alma mater, American University.
