Stefan Karrenbauer

Biography

Stefan Karrenbauer is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada. In this role, he oversees an office of 195 employees and manages the Canadian division of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and Daimler Truck Financial. He is also a member of the Daimler Financial Services Americas Region executive leadership team. Under his management, the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada team has achieved record customer satisfaction index scores for both Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and Daimler Truck Financial. The company has also ranked as one of the top 10 Best Workplaces in Canada by the Great Place to Work® Institute for three consecutive years. Karrenbauer joined Daimler in 1996 as Head of Strategic Projects for Daimler Financial Services in Berlin. He has held several positions in Europe and North America, including the Chief Operating Officer of both Mercedes-Benz Bank Germany and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services France. He also served as the head of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Belgium and Luxembourg. Karrenbauer is a member of the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association’s Executive Committee, and is on the Linde + Wiemann Advisory Board in Germany. He is fluent in German, English and French. He earned a master’s in Business Administration from Northwood University in Michigan and from the Universität zu Köln in Germany.
