Biography
Stephen Norton has over 20 years experience in communications and government affairs with several large- and mid-cap publicly traded corporations. Norton currently advises STERIS Corporation leadership on strategy for communications and government affairs programs. He is responsible for proactively creating, leading and coordinating all communication activities to protect and enhance the company’s brand and global reputation. He is responsible for identifying and coordinating regulatory and legislative policy development activities for STERIS. Before joining STERIS in 2004, Norton led the development of communication programs at Avery Dennison and developed media relations programs for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Norton is a graduate of the U.S. Army Engineering School and is a military veteran. He completed successful tours of duty with the United States Army’s 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea and the 194th Armored Brigade Command Group, based at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Additionally, he earned a bachelor’s degree in media and communications from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York, with a dual major in journalism and mass communication.
