Biography

 Prof. Charles Leland Cooney, Ph.D., also known as Charlie, co-founded Mitra Biotech Pvt Ltd., in 2008 and also serves as its Chairman of the Board. Prof. Cooney serves as a Senior Advisor of Boston Analytics, Inc. He serves as Principal of BioInformation Associates Inc. He served as a Scientific Advisor of Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He serves as Consultant of a number of biotech and pharmaceutical companies globally. He has been a Co-Director of the program on the pharmaceutical industry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ('MIT') since 1982. Since 1989, he has been the Regional Editor of Bioseparations. He worked at Genzyme Surgical Products. He served as a Scientific Advisor of Pronutria Biosciences, Inc. He served as the Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board at Biocon Limited. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Seres Therapeutics, Inc. Prof. Cooney serves as Member of Advisory Board of Continuus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and served as its Advisor. He has been a Director of 3M Purification Inc. since August 1996. He has been a Director of Genzyme Corporation since 1983. He has been a Director of Sanofi Biosurgery Inc. since 1983. He has been a Director of REG Life Sciences, LLC since August 2007 and Polypore International, LP, since April 8, 2008. He serves as a Director of Levitronix. He has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Repligen Corporation since March 2016. He has been a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Cetek Corporation since January 2006 and served as Scientific Advisory Board member at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since June 2010.
