Biography
Dr. Gwen A. Fyfe, M.D. serves as a Consultant of Cascadian Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Fyfe serves as a Consultant for venture capital firms and for a variety of biotechnology companies. Dr. Fyfe serves as Consultant at Io Therapeutics, Inc. She served as Senior Director at Genentech since 1999. Dr. Fyfe has more than 20 years of drug development experience, including key roles in the development and approvals of Rituxan(R) , Herceptin(R) , Avastin(R) and Tarceva(R). At Genentech, Inc. (now a member of the Roche Group), she served as Vice President of Oncology development and Vice President of Avastin Franchise Team from 1997 to 2009. From 1990 to 1997, Dr. Fyfe was Medical Director at Chiron Therapeutics. Dr. Fyfe served as a Director of Oncology in Medical Affairs at Genentech Inc. since joined in 1997. While at Genentech, Inc., her responsibilities have included managing the clinical trials that led to the approvals of Herceptin(R), a humanized antibody approved for the treatment of HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer and Rituxan(R), the first therapeutic antibody for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma approved in the United States. She has been a Director of Molecular Partners AG since May 11, 2017. She has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at ZAI Lab Limited since 2016. She has been a Director of Cascadian Therapeutics, Inc. since January 11, 2016. She has been an Independent Director at Igenica, Inc. since December 2013. She serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Io Therapeutics, Inc. She has been a Director of Array BioPharma Inc. since January 30, 2012. She served as an Independent Director of Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since March 12, 2012 until June 17, 2016. She served as a Director at Pharmacyclics LLC until December 15, 2011. She has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She is a recognized oncology expert in the broader oncology community and has been an invited member of Institute of Medicine panels, National Cancer Institute working groups and grant committees and American Society of Clinical Oncologists oversight committees. She performed residency training in pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco and postdoctoral fellowship training in immunology at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. Dr. Fyfe holds bachelor and medical degrees from the Washington University Medical School in St. Louis. and is a board Certified Pediatric Oncologist.
