Biography
Dr. Nenad Sarapa, M.D., M.S., has been Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Molecular Templates, Inc. since joining in November 13, 2017. Prior to Molecular Templates, Dr. Sarapa served as Senior Director of Translational Medicine, Oncology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals since 2013. From 2009 to 2012, Dr. Sarapa was Head of Clinical Pharmacology, Oncology for Hoffman-La Roche. He served as a group manager, project leader and clinical research physician in early clinical development for Johnson & Johnson from 2007 to 2009, Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. from 2005 to 2007, Pfizer, Inc. from 1999 to 2005 and GlaxoWellcome from 1995 to 1999. Dr. Sarapa served as Senior Director and Global Head of Translational Medicine at Daiichi Medical Research in Park Ridge, New Jersey. After leaving medical practice in 1994, Dr. Sarapa served as a senior clinical research physician and director of clinical pharmacology at several companies including Pharmacia. Dr. Sarapa has more than 22 years of experience in clinical research and development of novel oncology, anti-inflammatory and anti-infective agents, including small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates and antisense oligo therapeutics. He is a recognized expert in the design of microdosing and Exploratory IND studies. He has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Accium BioSciences, Inc. since January 2006. Dr. Sarapa is Board Certified in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He has published numerous articles in pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology, cardiovascular safety and early human microdosing. Dr. Sarapa earned his MD with a Fellowship in General Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology from the Medical School at the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
