John G. Boss

Biography

 Mr. John G. Boss, also known as Jack, has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Momentive Performance Materials Inc., MPM Holdings Inc. and Momentive Specialty Chemicals Holdings LLC since December 15, 2014. Mr. Boss served as the President of Silicones & Quartz Division at Momentive Performance Materials Inc. since joining on March 31, 2014 to December 15, 2014 and served as its Executive Vice President since March 2014. He served as an Interim Chief Executive Officer and President of Momentive Performance Materials Inc. and MPM Holdings Inc. since October 24, 2014. His career spans more than 30 years in the specialty chemicals and materials industry. He served in various leadership positions with Honeywell International since 2003, including Vice President and General Manager of Specialty Products from 2008 to 2012 and Vice President and General Manager of Specialty Chemicals from 2005 to 2008. He served as President of Honeywell Safety Products at Honeywell International from February 2012 to March 2014. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell Specialty Chemicals at Honeywell Specialty Materials, LLC. Mr. Boss joined Honeywell in 2004 and worked for Allied Signal Chemicals unit, a predecessor of Honeywell, from 1988 to 1996, holding positions of increasing responsibility in the sales and marketing function. Prior to Honeywell, he worked at Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, serving first as Vice President and General Manager of Fine Chemicals and Vice President and General Manager of fluorines. Mr. Boss also served as Vice President and General Manager of the Specialty and Fine Chemicals Business of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation from 2000 to 2003 and Vice President and Business Director of Ashland Corporation (formerly International Specialty Products) from 1996 to 2000. Since 1994, he served as Business Manager of Specialty Chemicals and was responsible for worldwide marketing and profitability. Mr. Boss served at ISP from 1996 to 2000 and served as Director at Worldwide Marketing-Personal Care and Vice President and Business Director since 1998. From 1989 to 1994, he served as Sales Manager and Key Account Manager for specialty oximes of AlliedSignal. Mr. Boss began his career in 1981 in the petroleum engineering services group at Dresser Industries and served in a variety of roles including Sales Manager, Product Manager and Production Engineer. He has been a Director of Momentive Performance Materials Inc., MPM Holdings Inc., Momentive Specialty Chemicals Holdings LLC since October 24, 2014. Mr. Boss has Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Rutgers Graduate School of Management in 1996 and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of West Virginia in 1981.
