Jorge A. Conejero

Biography

Fluent in Spanish and English and conversant in French and Portuguese, Dr. Jorge Conejero expands Montefiore's reach to its diverse community along with an expertise in plastic surgery and a focus in craniofacial reconstructive surgery. Born and raised in Chile, Dr. Jorge Alejandro Conejero earned his medical degree from the University of Chile. He has been invited to lecture throughout Central and South America on craniofacial surgical techniques as well as breast reconstruction and plastic surgery in children and adults. He has also published extensively on plastic surgical techniques, including cleft palate repair, diabetic wound and amputation repair, and breast reconstruction. Following a general surgery residency from the University of Valparaiso, Dr. Conejero went to Boston and then New York to complete a general surgery residency at Mass General Hospital and a craniofacial research fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia Medical Center respectively. After two years in central Massachusetts completing a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Dr. Conejero returned to Chile and to a craniofacial surgery fellowship at the University of Chile.
