Biography
Mike McLauchlan graduated in 1971 with a Degree in Mathematics from Edinburrgh University after which he spent a year in London working for the Inland Revenue. He then returned for a second spell at Edinburgh University, gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mathematical Science in 1974. He joined Moredun in 1974 as a specialist in Computing & Statistics. The subsequent growth in the use of computers meant that the statistics component of his duties disappeared during the eighties. In 2008 he retired from Moredun Research Institute and took up a part-time position as IT Co-ordinator with Pentlands Science Park.
