Biography
Cynthia Gibbs has been employed at MSU since 1990. She currently serves as the program/educational coordinator for the Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Program. Gibbs came to MSU from the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where she served as the radiology manager of the Special Procedures Department. She maintains her clinical skills by practicing as a PRN technologists at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. A native of Montgomery County, Gibbs received her Master of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees from MSU. She is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography, mammography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance. Gibbs is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and Kentucky Society of Radiologic Technologists. She has served the Kentucky Society of Radiologic Technologists as a member of the board, president, president-elect, treasurer and secretary. She has shared her expertise in computed tomography by serving as a consultant to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. In addition to her service to numerous professional organizations, Gibbs serves as a site visitor for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and has provided numerous presentations at the national, state and regional level.
