Biography
Dr. Donna Lee Wright became the chair of the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Imaging Sciences in the fall of 2014. She holds the rank of tenured full professor. A native of North Carolina, Wright received both a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Science in Adult and Community College, and a Doctorate in Adult and Continuing Education from North Carolina State University. She was a clinical radiographer in North Carolina and then taught in the Edgecombe Community College Associate Degree Radiologic Technology Program for five years. She was a faculty member in the Division of Radiologic Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for 13 years before accepting a graduate faculty position at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas in 2000. She earned tenure and was promoted to full professor before becoming the Radiologic Sciences department chair at Midwestern State University. Wright is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography. With 23 peer-reviewed publications, over 200 presentations at the local, state, national, and international venues, grants, honors, consultations, and awards, Wright is a recognized active radiologic sciences professional.
