Keith Howells

Biography

Keith became our chairman on January 1, 2011, and now leads the drive to further build our business and improve our performance for our customers and staff. During Keith’s tenure as managing director from 2004 to 2010, the Group saw major expansion and crossed the £1 billion revenue threshold. Keith first joined the board in 2002 with responsibility for our quality, environment and safety systems, human resources, and IT. Previously, he led the Group's worldwide business in water and environment. Keith's 40-year career with the Group has seen him working on projects in over 20 countries. He was elected Chairman of the UK’s Association for Consultancy and Engineering for its centenary year in 2013. In 2013 he was appointed to the UK government’s National Infrastructure Plan Strategic Engagement Forum and the Construction Industrial Strategy Advisory Council. Keith is also a member of the CBI’s Construction Council and sits on the Cranfield School of Management advisory board.
