George Arida

Biography

 George Arida has a proven track record of identifying emerging healthcare companies and guiding growth, business strategy, and financial decisions to help create exciting exit opportunities. He joined Venture Investors in 2000 and was appointed Managing Director of the General Partner of Venture Investors Early Stage Fund IV in 2006. Prior to joining Venture Investors, he was the CFO of a financial consulting and brokerage firm. Mr. Arida served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nerites, Inc.through the January 2011 acquisition by Kensey Nash and served as Chairman of Zystor Therapeutics, Inc. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Celleration, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Chromatin, Inc., ProCertus BioPharm, Inc., and the Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network. He serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the University of Wisconsin School of Business. Mr. Arida holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration degree with high honors from the University of Chicago.
