Ms. Alexandria Alexi Panehal

Biography

Ms. Alexandria “Alexi” Panehal served as the USAID Mission Director in the Dominican Republic.In 2010, Ms. Panehal also co-chaired the Task Force that drafted USAID's Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy and co-chaired with State the Gender Integration Task Force for the QDDR.From 2005-2009, she was the USAID Mission Director in Ecuador and from 2000-2003 she was the Deputy Mission Director for the Regional Mission for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. Overseas, Ms. Panehal has also served as Director of the Regional Housing and Urban Development Office in Honduras and as Director of the Democracy Office in Nicaragua. In Washington, Ms. Panehal has also served as the Agency's Director of the Office of infrastructure and Engineering and the Deputy Office Director for Environment in Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States.
