Biography
David H Ucko,is an associate professor at the College of International Security Affairs, National Defense University.He has also published on insurgency, counterinsurgency, and third-party intervention in civil wars, in a wide range of peer-reviewed journals. Dr Ucko is also an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches a class on social movement theory and armed mobilization. He is an adjunct fellow at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London, where he participates and advises on a multi-year research project on the challenges of third-party intervention in war-to-peace transitions. Prior to joining CISA, Dr Ucko was a Transatlantic Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin, Germany, and at the RAND Corporation in Washington DC. He has also worked for several years as a research fellow and program coordinator at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London.
