Henry E Wiley

Biography

Henry E. Wiley, M.D. is a staff clinician at the National Eye Institute (NEI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Wiley obtained his A.B. from Harvard University and his M.D. from Brown University. He completed his medical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following the completion of his internship, Dr. Wiley completed his residency and fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. He is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. Dr. Wiley became an NEI employee in September 2008. Currently Dr. Wiley works with a team of clinicians and scientists at the NEI on a variety of clinical research studies. He is involved in the design and execution of clinical research surrounding diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal capillary hemangiomas in von Hippel-Lindau disease, uveitis and other vitreoretinal diseases
