Kimberly Kramer

Biography

Kimberly Kramer is a STEM-track Presidential Management Fellow in the Division of Extramural Activities. She serves as NIA’s Guide Liaison, working with staff at the NIA and the NIH Guide to develop and facilitate the publication of funding opportunity announcements. She also assists the division in web editing and analyses of grant application performance. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Swarthmore College, Kimberly worked as an editor at a higher education consulting firm before completing a research internship in primate behavior at the Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park. With the aid of a graduate research fellowship from the National Science Foundation, she then earned a master’s degree in biology from American University.

Research Interest

National Zoo’s Western lowland gorillas’ behavioral and hormonal stress responses to social disturbance.
