John Laffan

Biography

John Laffan, Ph.D., is a scientific review officer in the Office of Scientific Review. He is responsible for managing the review of selected research training, program project, center and research project grant applications and contracts. Before joining NIGMS, Laffan was an associate professor in the department of microbiology at the College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. He earned a B.A. in biology from Hamilton College and a Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University. Laffan conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
