The Florida Pollution Prevention Roundtable (FLPPR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Florida corporation. We've been working with private companies, non-profits, and government agencies since 1998 to establish a forum for identifying, coordinating, and promoting voluntary Pollution Prevention (P2) activities and resources throughout the State of Florida. Prior to incorporation in 2002, FLPPR operated for four years as a volunteer based, Florida Department of Environmental Protection sponsored organization. FLPPR performs the following primary functions and activities to accomplish its mission of promoting Pollution Prevention (P2) activities within the State of Florida: • Maintains a website for the purpose of communication, promotion and the sharing of P2 information for all active members as well as more general information for the general public; which includes a library of P2 reference materials. • Conducts regular Board of Director and general membership meetings to coordinate the management of P2 activities and to serve as an information forum, which includes the dissemination of state, local, or national P2 issues and concerns. • Plans, sponsors or conducts environmental pollution prevention forums and training sessions to disseminate P2 information to industry, government, individuals and communities. • Works with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Florida Department of Environmental Protection FDEP) on promoting P2/E2 and Sustainable Initiatives in Florida.
