Biography
Kevin Bennion leads NREL's Thermal Sciences and Systems research task focused on thermal management of power electronics and electric motors. He has also supported research projects related to vehicle thermal management and vehicle systems analysis. He came to NREL from Ford Motor Company, where he worked on electric drive components and power electronics of hybrid electric vehicles, simulation models for powertrain controls, vehicle control systems calibration, and hardware-in-loop testing. He holds an M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and a B.S. from Brigham Young University—both in mechanical engineering.
