Biography
Dr Anglemyer's career in public health began long before his formal education in the field. After a 5-year stint in the US Army as a Russian translator and intelligence professional, he left the military and began studying epidemiology and public health at UC Berkeley. For the last 6 years Dr Anglemyer has been an active member of numerous HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention guideline development committees for the World Health Organization. Additionally, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he has helped train public health workers in Ukraine and Russia with implementing and interpreting regional HIV surveillance.
