Biography
Robert R. Read was Professor of Operations Research. Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics, University of California at Berkeley, 1958. Areas of concentration included parameter estimation, asymptotic distributions of statistics, non parametric statistical inference, and stochastic model building for natural phenomena. Developed and verified a stochastic model describing the distribution of cloud chamber drop count data and B.Sc. in Mathematics, The Ohio State University, 1951.
