Biography
Samuel E. Buttrey was Associate Professor of Operations Research. Ph.D. in Statistics, University of California, Berkeley, 1996. Dissertation: “Nearest-Neighbor Classification with Categorical Variables.” Additional research on Monte Carlo simulation to compare the performance of Markov chain and kernel density estimates, and on assay data in genetics.
