Kieran Flynn

Biography

  Kieran Flynn is a Director in the Global Construction practice.  He he has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, including 10 years at senior management level in major contracting organisations. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by profession, Kieran has worked for both major contracting companies and construction consultants providing a range of services from commercial and contractual advice and strategies, claims management, including preparation and defence, arbitration and expert witness support services. He has been engaged at Senior Management level in major contracting organisations in both Australia and Hong Kong. Areas of experience include mining processes and power plants (Australia), oil and gas/petro-chemical (Malaysia, Singapore & Middle East), and civils and building (Hong Kong). His responsibilities involved the commercial management and governance of group/division commercial performance including; negotiating contract conditions and commercial issues; devising commercial and claims strategies; preparation and defence of Security of Payment Act claims; and commercial risk reviews and analyses of contracts and tenders. In corporate roles, Kieran has carried out commercial reviews and established commercial/claims strategies to achieve positive finacial outcomes on distressed projects, including mining infrastructure contracts and EPC contracts for the provision of combined cycle
