John A. Maciel

Biography

 Mr. John A. Maciel has been Interim Chief Financial Officer at Nebraska Book Company, Inc. since 2015. Mr. Maciel has experience as an interim Chief Financial Officer of companies that has either filed for bankruptcy or managed to restructure outside of it. He served as Chief Financial Officer, Controller and General Auditor of Washington Mutual Inc. since November 2008. Mr. Maciel also served as Executive Vice President, Additional Restructuring Officer, Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasure at WMIH Corp. (alternative name Washington Mutual Inc.). He served as Principal Accounting Officer of Washington Mutual Inc. He has been Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal North America, LLC ("A&M") since 2005. Prior to his employment with A&M, Mr. Maciel consulted for a variety of companies, where he managed and supervised projects regarding major reorganization, financial planning and reporting, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. Mr. Maciel served as an Independent contractor for Hexcel Corporation, supervising the Sarbanes Oxley implementation.
