Biography
Fernando A. Osorio was MV (Veterinarian) Buenos Aires National (Argentina) in 1972, did Masters of Science from Iowa State University in 1984, Doctor of Philosophy from Iowa State University in 1984, Diplomate from American College of Veterinary Microbiologists in 1986. He was Professor from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.
Research Interest
Fernando A. Osorio research centers on pathogenesis of and immune response to viral infections. Due to the significance of the subject for U.S. animal agriculture, we focus on a major viral agent that affects swine: Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV, an arterivirus, ssRNA+ genome).
