IMMUNOLOGY Identifying the mechanisms of CD8+ T cell suppression and how to rescue virus-specific CD8+ proliferation using the FIV model for HIV. Examination of a novel compound LM11A-31 for neuro-protective effects using the FIV model. Assess the utility of sCD14 as a biomarker for bacterial translocation in horses, dogs and cats. Acquire a deeper understanding of the heterogeneity of canine monocytes by defining monocyte subpopulations, with specific emphasis on monocytes in dogs with osteosarcoma that also have an infected surgical site.
