Biography
Dr. Frankis received her medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina, completed her residency in Internal Medicine at University of Virginia Hospital and returned to Medical University of South Carolina to complete her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease and has practiced cardiology at hospitals in Georgia, South Carolina and New Mexico. Dr. Frankis also holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Medical University of South Carolina. She has held assistant professorships at Medical University of South Carolina and Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Frankis has acted as an investigator in more than a dozen clinical research cases and authored or co-authored more than a dozen studies and abstracts about heart disease, heart failure and stroke.
